TIME TO GO
The light grows dim and blows a chill
that covers everyone
there are no words for all are still
this time of life begun
seconds pass in hours time
no need for watch or clock
life it dwindles, sadness climbs
as death begins to knock
curious silence, lost in thought
Of memories in the past
feeling loss and so distraught
Why couldn't life just last?
Time it comes and brings a smile
That leaves everyone uncertain
words are spoken, so worthwhile
"It's time to let down the curtain"
Tears they fall from all who love
That heard so they would know
the journey starts to up above
Time had come to go

BELOVED APHRODITE
Aphrodite, send me his love,
make me feel warm and alive.
Bring me the power of beauty so true,
Venus so lovely, cupid beside.
The powers of darkness can be overcome,
by one so fair and so real.
In a city called Melos I stare at the stone,
then fall to the ground in a kneel.
Inside the coldness of which you are made
burns a deep and wonderous fire.
It gives each lover a sense of hope
and poets it tends to inspire.
Your guidance I call, for I am in need,
Venus, be with me here.
For I cannot find him, he's nowhere in sight,
although I do feel he is near.
Oh Grecian maiden, send him the dream,
that will bring him close to me.
For being filled with your desire,
is continuous ecstacy.
Oh, amazing beauty, pulled from the water,
please show me your favor tonight.
Please bring my love so I may hold,
and caress in your beautiful light.
